- Governments are short term; we need to think in the longer term and lobby all parties about consistent policies.
- We need to engage in dialogue with people of all faiths and none, not preach.
- We need to be aware of local difference: the North is different from London, and local governance and solutions are needed; this applies everywhere.
- There are few environmental messages coming from the Archdiocese and the group feel they should be hearing this from local church leaders as well as the Pope.

Some solutions to national problems can probably be found at local level, but what about unemployment? It's a terrible trend, from Aberdeen to Scunthorpe,and it would be good to see government support for the 1 million green energy jobs that are mooted by the Campaign against Climate Change. Perhaps one could start at parish level... ecocongregations could support community energy projects...
